AGILITY

Agility (7’) is a piece for one performer (voice & movement), tape and squeaky toys.

It was commissioned and performed by Alwynne Pritchard.

Agility is a choreographical composition for one performer (voice and movement) and tape where I focus on the movement of dogs in play and the interaction between dog and human being in play, work and competition.

Humans tend to humanise animals, attributing human features and characteristics especially to pets. The choreographical elements in Agility turn this mechanism around – the human becomes the dog, copying movements and body language of dogs.
